Trepel’s latest loader, the Champ 70 We, which makes its debut at InterAirport Europe, boasts a new system, the so-called PLUG-I-O, for which a patent has been granted. But it’s not just another loader: here, the battery is sited in the middle of the vehicle and the engine is located at the side, for a start. A 30 kW electric motor is part of the specification, which is almost an industry standard these days. What singles out this particular Trepel loader, though, is the way in which the battery is incorporated.
