2009 is another year for new developments at TREPEL
The first aircraft tractor designed and manufactured by TREPEL made its debut at this year's InterAirport Europe trade show in Munich. The CHALLENGER 700, an up to 70 tons aircraft tractor, can tow aircraft with a max. tow weight of 600 tons; in other words, a fully loaded A380.
By mid 2010 the CHALLENGER family will have grown bigger: Both a small and a medium size tractor with 16 to resp. 45 to deadweight are planned, thus expanding the TREPEL product portfolio and its core competence, preparing us even better for the future.
The year 2009 not only witnessed the development of a new aircraft tractor. Within the scope of alternative energy, we also introduced our customers to the first electric loader.
Under the name CHAMP 70We, TREPEL presented a world premiere: The first GSE ever to be powered by a lithium-ion-phosphate battery. Thanks to a newly patented battery management system, the battery can be fully recharged in only 15 minutes. The future is here today!
